Ways to Make Gifts

Outright Gifts

Outright gifts have the most immediate impact on ARMC and qualify for the greatest tax benefit for the donor. 

Examples of Outright Gifts

• Gifts by check made payable to Anderson Regional Medical Center
• Securities, including stocks and bonds
• Matching gifts (many corporations match gifts to not-for-profit organizations)
• Real Estate and Personal Property gifts (subject to acceptance by ARMC)
• Gifts through a donor advised fund or community foundation
• Gifts of Retirement Assets (subject to limitations of age, amount and year)

Planned Gifts

Planned gifts usually involve assistance from a qualified professional in order to maximize benefits to the donor and non-profit.  While the non-profit usually receives its benefit after the donor's death, immediate benefits to the donor may include additional income, tax savings and satisfaction that charitable goals will be met.
