Tom C. Maynor Rehabilitation Center

Located at Anderson Regional Medical Center - South

Rehabilitation means reshaping lives and restoring lost abilities after an illness or injury. Whether recovering from a stroke, a fall or a serious illness, rehabilitation can make a difference in the quality of life for most patients.

The Tom C. Maynor Rehabilitation Center, an acute rehabilitation facility, was established in 1999 to create a facility that allowed patients to receive intensive rehabilitation and 24-hour care, yet stay conveniently close to home and family. The rehabilitation unit is on the fourth floor in the main building of Anderson - South; today, the 20-bed, Medicare-certified center is East Mississippi's only inpatient rehabilitation facility.

In the spring of 2002, the center was dedicated in honor of retired local businessman Tom C. Maynor in recognition of his strong advocacy on behalf of stroke survivors and their families.

At the Tom C. Maynor Rehabilitation Center, we are dedicated to treating the whole patient — physically, emotionally and socially — and provide a wide range of therapy services to help our patients return to their highest level of functioning and independence.

The Tom C. Maynor Rehabilitation Center at Anderson - South is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).
