Since 1986, Anderson Regional Heart Center has provided patients with professional cardiac care, as well as advanced services in interventional cardiology and cardiac surgery. The longest-established cardiac care program in East Mississippi and West Alabama, Anderson Regional Heart Center features a cardiac team that is recognized throughout the Southeast for providing a full range of high-quality cardiovascular services, from prevention, intervention and surgery to wellness programs and patient education.
Anyone experiencing the warning signs of a heart attack should call 911 immediately.
Anderson Regional Heart Center is accessed through our Emergency Department 24-hours a day. A patient may be referred by a doctor, self-referred or brought in by ambulance.
Chest pain may be associated with conditions other than a heart attack and Anderson offers patients with chest pain rapid monitoring and evaluation by a highly trained staff of cardiac specialists. Our emphasis is on rapid treatment and providing a quiet, comforting environment for the patient and family.
If a physician determines that the chest pain is associated with a myocardial infarction or other cardiac condition, the patient is admitted to the coronary unit or may be taken to the Cath Lab. If an acute condition is ruled out, the patient will be treated and referred accordingly.
