a wellness-based practice that approaches health care by focusing on providing you, our patient, with assistance in achieving a higher quality of life through aggressive attention to rheumatologic disease processes and arthritic conditions.

Head physician, Drew M. Huffman, D.O., is an advocate for examining all facets of a person that minimize or limit the ability to enjoy a high quality of life - be it a physical, emotional, psychological or spiritual condition. It is his belief that the physical body, mind, and spirit are integrated, with each affecting the other. He is an advocate of incorporating evidence-based medicine with realistic expectations.

Dr. Huffman attended Des Moines University and received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree in 1997. He then completed the University of Kansas Internal Medicine residency in 2000 and went on to complete a two year fellowship in the field of Rheumatology at the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Board Eligible in Rheumatology. Dr. Huffman is married and has six children.

Mary Ann Howell, Adult Nurse Practitioner, works with Dr. Huffman.  Mary Ann is a native of Meridian, MS. She received her Bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of South Alabama in 2004.  Mary Ann then attended Vanderbilt University where she received her master’s degree in nursing in 2006. While attending Vanderbilt, she completed a specialty in gerontology. Mary Ann is board certified as an Adult Nurse Practitioner. She is a member of the Mississippi Nurses Association and Sigma Theta Tau, the national honor society of nursing. Mary Ann is married with one son, Henry.
