Intensive Care / Cardiac Care Patient Visitation Guidelines

Patients are admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Cardiac Care Unit (CCU) for a condition requiring close observation, cardiac monitoring and skilled nursing care. We welcome the opportunity to care for your loved one and want to give you some information to assist you during this time.

Visiting Times

Visiting is restricted in the ICU/CCU units to members of the immediate family and clergy. Two people may visit at a time and a total of six visitors may see the patient during each 30-minute session. No children under 12 years of age. Visits are limited to 30 minutes total during four seperate visitation sessions each day. These times are:

10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. 1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
5:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. 8:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Telephones

The numbers for incoming calls to the waiting area are (all 601 area code) 693-9285, 693-9379, 693-9309, and 693-9112. Incoming calls are received on the public wall phones. Please use these pay phones to place outgoing calls. If family members are not available, the patient representative will take a message. Please check with the patient representative for telephone messages.

Belongings

Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center is not responsible for items left in the waiting area; therefore, family members are encouraged to limit items left there. The patient's money and valuables should be taken home or otherwise secured on admission to the hospital. Please see the admission clerk if you need assistance.

Gifts and ICU/CCU Patients

Flowers, balloons, novelties and food are not allowed in the ICU/CCU units. A bulletin board is in each room for displaying cards, pictures, etc.
