Visiting Hours

Visitors can be good medicine for patients. Family members and friends are welcome to visit. However, patient care is our primary concern, and, in order to enhance the quality of care, specific visiting hours and regulations have been established for each unit. If you need additional information, please check with he nurse on the unit.

Visiting Regulations

Following are general guidelines for visitors:

  • Visitors may not smoke in patient rooms or anywhere in the hospital, except the designated smoking areas.
  • People with colds, sore throats or any contagious diseases should not visit patients.
  • Visitors should maintain a quiet environment and avoid unnecessary noise.
  • Visitors may be asked to leave the room during tests or treatments or when the doctor or nurse needs to see the patient.
  • Visitors should complete their visits by 9 p.m. so that the patient may have appropriate rest and sleep time.
  • Visitors are encouraged to wash their hands upon entering and leaving the patient's room.

Gifts for Patients

Visitors should check with the nurse before bringing gifts of food or drink to patients. Please check with the nurse to make sure your gift is appropriate. In the critical care units, please check with he unit nurse regarding any gifts for patients.

Parking

Parking for patients and visitors is available in the hospital's parking complex. Parking is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. All parking at JARMC is free. Patients and visitors are cautioned not to park in reserved areas or certain designated areas. Please be sure to lock your vehicle. If something happens which causes you to need assistance with your vehicle, please call the Switchboard Operator by dialing "0".

ATM Services

ATM services are available in the vending area of the ICU waiting room located on the first floor.

Anderson Pharmacy

The Anderson Pharmacy is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays; 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturdays; and 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., Sundays. In addition to providing complete pharmacy services, Anderson Pharmacy also has gift items, jewelry, magazines, greeting cards, candy, toiletries, flowers and plants. The Anderson Pharmacy phone number is 483-4221.

Chapel

'The chapel is located on the first floor of the hospital in the ICU waiting room area. Visitors of all faiths are welcome to visit the chapel for prayer and meditation. Please contact the Switchboard Operator by dialing "0" or the patient representative at extension 6697 for assistance in locating the hospital's chapel.

Out-of-town Visitors

Guest rooms are available to out-of-town visitors for a moderate fee. For information regarding our guest rooms, please call the Switchboard Operator by dialing "0".
